The Bicycle
Constructing a touring bicycle from scratch can be an exciting and challenging project for any avid cyclist. In my case, it was my first attempt at a full-bike-rebuild, and it all started with my Orange P7 mountain bike. Although it wasn’t perfect, it got me through some breath-taking landscapes of New Zealand and Tasmania … just!
While my ‘home-built’ touring bike did an excellent job, it wasn’t perfect. As my love for touring continued to grow, I realised that I needed a dedicated touring ride. That’s when I discovered the Thorn Sherpa, a rugged and reliable touring frame designed to handle anything the road or more importantly the trail could throw at it.
With my ‘Sherpa‘ I’ve been on many incredible adventures, from traversing parts of the UK to cycling across Europe, and Western Australia. It’s a bicycle frame that has never let me down ๐
With each new adventure, I continue to appreciate the freedom and sense of exploration that touring cycling provides.
