After my relatively short bicycle journeys around Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor in the UK, New Zealand is going to be a completely different experience!

My visa is 6 months, and with summer approaching, I’m hoping for some good cycling days. However, New Zealand is also known for its unpredictable weather with lots of wind and rain! A bit like where I’ve just arrived from!

My home-built converted touring ride is really going to be tested here, along with my still trusted MSR Hubba Hubba tent.

My route is fairly simple – I’ll be leaving Christchurch and cycling around the country in a clockwise ⏰ direction. It’s as simple as that!
