Fabrezan 🇫🇷 L’Albarédié

Fabrezan 🇫🇷 L’Albarédié

After a nights stop in Fabrezan, I head westerly towards the old town of Carcassonne on the Canal du Midi. Saying that, every town in France is old!

I’m now seriously back into wild-camping-mode ⛺ Wild camping spot no.30 near Trebes. Bit of a slog up a hill, but worth it for the tranquility.

Next day, Carcassonne McDonalds for some WiFi and yes, a Big Mac 🍔 fries 🍟 and a customary milkshake 🥤

During the day I turn north-westerly off the flat Canal du Midi towards, what I thought would eventually be Germany!

On a downhill near the village of Les Cammazes I get hit by one almighty hail storm ⛈ One moment it’s not there, the next WHAM! I got a right hammering … literally! I laid up in the Église Notre Dame de l’Assomption (church) to dry off. Then, via the town of Revel and onto Castres.

Eventually finding a source of cooking fuel ‘Alcool à brûler’. Along with an acquisition of a ‘Greenways and cycle route of France’ map 🗺️ I set forth onto the nearest Voie Verte (greenway trail) 💚
